Privacy Policy

Overview & Data Controller

This Privacy Policy applies to all apps and services developed and operated by Jogoh(referred to as “we”, “our”, or “us”), who acts as the Data Controller for your personal information. It explains what information we collect when you use our products, how we use it, how long we retain it, and the rights and choices you have. App-Specific Policies

In addition to our general privacy practices, individual apps in our portfolio have specific behaviors regarding user data:

BudlerA budgeting app with a personality.

Budler operates under its own domain and maintains its own independent Privacy Policy. Please review the Budler Privacy Policy.

BaZi PathDestiny decoding app.

Information Processed & Collected:

To generate Chinese BaZi destiny charts and AI-written readings, BaZi Path processes birth details (birth date, exact birth time, gender, and city/country/timezone). For compatibility readings, you may also provide names and birth details for both individuals.

Storage & Cloud Backend:

Free charts are stored locally on your device. Purchased consumable charts ($0.99 per chart/reading), reading sessions, and generated AI readings are stored in Convex (convex.dev), a third-party hosted backend, linked to your user account ID. Firebase Authentication is used exclusively for account login (Google Sign-In and Sign in with Apple). BaZi Path does not offer recurring subscriptions.

Third-Party Data Processors:

  • FreeAstroAPI (api.freeastroapi.com): Receives birth date, birth time, timezone, and country to calculate astrological chart coordinates.
  • Google Gemini API (generativelanguage.googleapis.com): Generative AI service receiving calculated chart data, birth details, and (for compatibility readings) names of both individuals to write destiny and compatibility interpretations.
  • Convex (convex.dev): Hosted database storing purchased charts, reading sessions, and generated readings linked to your user ID.
  • RevenueCat: Validates and tracks one-time consumable purchase history on iOS and Android.
  • Firebase Authentication (Google): Manages user login sessions (Google Sign-In and Sign in with Apple).

Note: BaZi Path does NOT use any third-party advertising SDKs.

Account, Consent Revocation & Data Deletion:

You can revoke consent and remove your data at any time via Settings > Clear All Data in the app. If you are signed in and hold purchased charts, this lets you choose between deleting Device Data (local copies only) or Backup Data (your cloud records and their local copies). Note that charts you have paid for cannot be removed from the device unless you are signed in, because deleting them also removes the cloud backup that lets you restore them. You can permanently delete your account and all stored cloud data directly in-app at Settings > Delete Account, or by emailing jonggietechie@gmail.com.

MagpieSave, organize, and search screenshots, links, and notes.

Information Processed:

Magpie processes the screenshots, links, and notes you save, along with any custom labels, hashtags, and descriptions you add, making them searchable.

Storage & Sync:

Your saved screenshots, links, notes, and labels are stored on your device by default. Magpie Pro can create a private backup using iCloud on iOS or your Google Drive app-data folder on Android. We do not host your saved content on Jogoh servers and cannot access either private backup.

Accounts & Cloud Authorization:

Magpie does not create or require a Magpie account. On iOS, backup uses the Apple Account already signed in to iCloud on your device; Magpie does not receive your Apple Account name or email. On Android, Google authorization is used only to access Magpie's private Drive app-data folder; the app receives basic Google profile details and does not send them to Jogoh servers.

Analytics & Diagnostics:

We use PostHog for product analytics, including app and device information, feature interactions, an anonymous device identifier, and approximate country or region inferred from network information. RevenueCat processes an anonymous app user identifier and purchase status. Neither service receives the screenshots, links, notes, or labels you save.

Purchases:

Magpie Pro is a one-time, non-renewing purchase through the Apple App Store on iOS or Google Play on Android. RevenueCat validates the purchase and Pro entitlement. We do not receive or store your payment-card details.

DusklingA calm, three-line daily journal.

Information Processed:

Duskling processes and stores the three short lines you write about your day, along with the date of entry and settings such as your active theme or notification preferences.

Storage & Sync:

Your daily entries remain entirely on your device. For users who unlock premium backup and sync, data snapshots are saved securely via a hidden app-data folder on your own Google Drive. We do not host or store your journal entries on our servers and have no access to them.

Account (optional):

Duskling works fully offline with no account setup required. Setting up Google Drive backup and sync requires signing in with Google, from which we receive your name, email address, and profile picture solely to identify your account and coordinate the sync process.

Analytics & Diagnostics:

We use PostHog for anonymous usage metrics to track product stability and basic interactions (e.g. tracking when a write is saved, without capturing the actual text contents).

Purchases:

Premium unlocks are offered as a one-time purchase via Google Play Billing and RevenueCat. Payment details are not processed or stored on our servers.

Take a StickCamera-first sticker maker.

Information Processed:

Take a Stick processes camera captures, photo selections, and sticker outputs on your device to create and organize framed stickers and collections.

Storage & Sync:

All photos, cropped frames, and stickers are stored locally on your device by default. Paid users who enable Google Drive backup have their collection snapshots saved directly to their own private Google Drive app-data folder. We do not host or store your images or sticker collections on Jogoh servers and have no access to them.

Account (optional):

Take a Stick works fully offline with no account required. Connecting Google Drive backup requires signing in with Google, where basic profile information is used strictly on-device to authorize Drive access.

Analytics & Diagnostics:

We use PostHog for privacy-respecting product analytics (e.g. counting sticker saves or exports). We never collect or transmit user images, filenames, collection names, emoji tags, or Drive IDs.

Purchases:

The lifetime unlock is a one-time purchase processed through Google Play Billing and RevenueCat. We never receive or store your financial payment details.

Information We Collect

Account & Identity Data

Some Jogoh apps use Google Sign-In or Sign in with Apple and receive the account details described in their app-specific policy above. Magpie and Take a Stick do not require a user account to create content; cloud backup authorizations connect directly to your platform storage (iCloud or Google Drive app-data folder).

Data You Create & App Data

Content and records entered into our apps (such as tasks, notes, journal entries, stickers, or birth details for astrology charts) are saved locally on your device by default. Depending on the app:

  • BaZi Path: Purchased consumable charts, reading sessions, and generated AI readings are backed up and hosted on Convex, linked to your user account ID.
  • Magpie: Optional Pro backup uses your private iCloud database on iOS or your Google Drive app-data folder on Android.
  • Duskling: Optional cloud sync uses your personal Google Drive account.
  • Take a Stick: Optional backup uses your private Google Drive app-data folder.

Usage & Device Data

We automatically collect certain device and usage information to maintain and improve our services, including:

  • IP address and general location (country/region)
  • Device type, operating system, and version
  • Screens and features visited, and time spent on them
  • Unique device identifiers and crash/diagnostic data (where enabled)

How We Use Your Data

  • Provide, operate, and maintain our apps and services
  • Calculate astrological charts and generate AI-written readings (BaZi Path)
  • Sync and restore your data across devices (when enabled or upon purchase)
  • Understand feature usage to improve application stability and performance
  • Detect and resolve technical issues or bugs
  • Send essential service updates (never advertising or marketing spam)

Third-Party Services & Data Processors

Our apps rely on trusted third-party providers to deliver their functionality. Each provider handles data according to its respective privacy policy:

Apple iCloud & Google Drive

Magpie Pro stores app backups in the user's private iCloud database on iOS or private Google Drive app-data folder on Android. Apple or Google provides the storage service under the user's platform account; Jogoh cannot browse or retrieve this content.

Google Sign-In & Sign in with Apple

Used for user account authentication. On iOS, Sign in with Apple is the primary authentication provider and supports Hide My Email relay addresses. Governed by the Google Privacy Policy and Apple Privacy Policy.

Firebase (Google)

Used solely for user authentication services. Firebase is not used as a database store for BaZi Path charts or readings. Governed by the Firebase Privacy Policy.

Convex (convex.dev)

Cloud backend and database hosting used by BaZi Path to store purchased consumable charts, reading sessions, and generated readings associated with your user ID. See the Convex Privacy Policy.

FreeAstroAPI (api.freeastroapi.com)

Astrological calculation API used by BaZi Path. Receives birth date, birth time, timezone, and country ephemerally to compute planetary and BaZi chart positions.

Google Gemini API (generativelanguage.googleapis.com)

Generative AI processing service used by BaZi Path. Receives calculated chart data, birth details, and (for compatibility features) individual names ephemerally to generate personalized AI reading text.

RevenueCat

In-app purchase validation platform used by Magpie, Duskling, and BaZi Path to validate purchases and maintain entitlements across iOS and Android. RevenueCat receives purchase records and an anonymous app user identifier, but not payment-card details. See the RevenueCat Privacy Policy.

PostHog

Used for product analytics — understanding feature usage and app performance. PostHog collects usage metrics but does not collect sensitive content or personal financial data. See the PostHog Privacy Policy.

Google Play Billing & Apple App Store

Handles in-app consumable chart purchases ($0.99 per chart) and one-time unlocks. We do not process or store credit card details; all financial billing is managed directly by Google or Apple.

Data Retention & Deletion Policy

We specify below how long your data is retained, and how you can request deletion or revoke consent:

  • On-Device Local Data: Local charts and settings remain on your device until you clear them via Settings > Clear All Data in-app or uninstall the app.
  • Magpie Data:Magpie saves remain on the device until you delete them or uninstall the app. If Pro backup is enabled, a copy remains in the selected platform cloud service until it is replaced or removed through that provider's storage controls. Turning off Magpie backup does not delete an existing cloud copy. Magpie has no Jogoh account to delete, and Jogoh cannot access or delete private iCloud or Google Drive backup content on your behalf.
  • Cloud Account Data (Convex): Account details, purchased consumable charts, and AI readings are retained on Convex servers for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account (via Settings > Delete Account in-app or by email request), all stored cloud data is permanently deleted immediately (or within 30 days for email requests).
  • Ephemeral Calculation & AI Data (FreeAstroAPI & Gemini API): Birth details and chart data sent to FreeAstroAPI and Google Gemini API are processed in-transit to compute charts and generate AI readings; they are not retained by us after processing.
  • Financial & Transaction Records: Purchase records are retained for up to 7 years after account deletion as required by financial, tax, and legal regulations.

Revoking Consent & Deletion Requests: Use the deletion controls described in the relevant app-specific section above. Where an app offers an account, you can delete it in-app. You may also contact Data Controller Jogoh at jonggietechie@gmail.com to request deletion of information held by Jogoh or its processors. Private Magpie backup content must be removed through your Apple or Google storage controls because Jogoh cannot access it.

International Data Transfers

Your personal information (including birth details such as birth date, time, gender, city/country, and timezone) is transmitted securely to and processed on cloud servers located outside of your country or jurisdiction (including in the United States), where our hosting, calculation, AI, and billing infrastructure partners (such as Google Gemini, FreeAstroAPI, Convex, RevenueCat, and Firebase) operate. We ensure that such service providers maintain appropriate safeguards in compliance with applicable data protection laws.

Security

We use commercially reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest. No method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children's Privacy & Age Rating

Our apps (including BaZi Path) are intended for users aged 13 and older (and designed for personal astrology reflection). We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. We encourage you to review this page periodically. Continued use of our apps after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
